Methodological works
Methodological works are important components of the implementation of official statistics tasks. It plays a significant role in improving existing research methods and the quality of surveys, as well as in seeking new solutions. Methodological works address issues related to socio-economic phenomena, the adaptation of surveys to changes in national and international legislation, meeting the needs of users and identifying new data sources for use of official statistics. Proper methodological preparation of surveys ensures the achievement of reliable results that reflect the phenomena under study as accurately as possible.
A description of activities aimed at improving the methodology of statistical surveys can be found in the annually published Methodological Works Plan.
