European Statictics Code of Practice
The current version of the European Statistics Code of Practice (ES CoP) was adopted by the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC) on 16 November 2017. The Code contains 16 principles on the institutional environment, statistical processes and statistical output. These principles are intended to ensure that statistics within the European Statistical System (ESS) are developed, produced and disseminated in accordance with the statistical principles defined in Regulation 223/2009 in an independent, objective, consistent, reliable, impartial and coherent manner while ensuring their high quality.
