Quality in public statistics
According to ISO 9000, quality is the set of the characteristics of an object (product, service, process) that determine its ability to satisfy needs and expectations of the user. In official statistics, to determine the quality of statistics we use quality criteria listed in Regulation 223/2009 (Art. 12), which are: relevance, accuracy, timeliness, punctuality, accessibility and clarity, comparability, coherence.
